Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development conducts research that has expanded understanding of the complex needs of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other forms of trauma. Its current research focuses on advancing knowledge about the effects of early maltreatment and developing trauma informed interventions that support healthy social development.
