What to Do With All That Anger!
Traumatized children often express deep pain through anger, which parents can easily mirror. Effective parenting requires emotional awareness, self-regulation, and modeling healthy expression. Instead of punishment or isolation, parents should use connection, empathy, and co-regulation (“time-ins”) to help children manage emotions, build attachment, and gradually heal through supportive, playful relationships.
